Fantasy Reading Challenge

There are so many books I want to read that even a lifetime doesn't seem enough, so instead of following generic lists, for my favourite genre, I'm starting a challenge to read 103 fantasy books that I haven't read yet. There is no deadline for this, so if you like reading Fantasy, I invite you to join in. Read as many as you can - or even just a handful that appeal to you.

If you've read some of these, or are joining in the challenge, leave comments as you progress, and we can exchange thoughts. If you think others might enjoy this, please blog/twitter/facebook about it with the link. The more the merrier!!

P.S. - I've included following books in the challenge simply because I already have these books. There are many more I want to read, but figured, let's focus on what I've already bought.

  1. The Mistborn series, as well as Sanderson's first book, Elantris are well worth picking up, as is anything from Moorcock. As for th Wheel of Time series, it dissapointed me and frustrated me to no end, as it literally spins in place in book after book.

As for the Game of Thrones, I started the series and so far it has been great.

  2. Ralfast,

I've listed these books for the challenge because these are the ones I already have. But even from the ones I had, I had to restrict the numbers.

So many more I want to read :P

  3. Oh, I am so on board. This summer, I'm on a fantasy tear (with the excuse that it's "research"). Rothfuss, McCaffrey, Sanderson (yay!), Martin, and Erikson are all my list too. Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar series is next up.

  5. That looks like a fabulous reading list. I'm with you on speed, I wish I was a quicker reader, practically a tortoise compared with you, though!
