Happy New Year everyone. Hope you are not suffering too much from hangovers. I don't usually make New Year's resolutions, and this year I am not going to make a resolution but rather have a bunch of goals that I want to work towards.
My goals are bit like my outlines - general structure remains in place, but the insides are fluid. Having had several life plans that changed drastically in my relatively short life, I think the fluidity is important. You have to adapt to your circumstances and of course to the possibility that things that are important to you today might not be important to you tomorrow.
So goals ...here they are, in no particular order...
Ongoing
- Journal
- Blog
- Exercise (this is the one I have the least confidence in)

Wish me luck, and no doubt I shall keep you posted with my progress throughout the year.
What are your goals for the New Year?
Those are great goals - ambitious but achievable. That's a good positive way to start the new year!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Mine are on my blog. :D
ReplyDeleteAdam
Good luck in 2010.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your goals this year - I'll be looking forward to reading about you reaching each one.
ReplyDeleteMine are on my blog as well. :-)
Bill, Ralfast - thanks :-)
ReplyDeleteAdam, checked out your goals, and good luck to you too.
Jamie, going to look at yours now. Good luck to you too.
I'm with you, goals make much more sense for me than resolutions. Your goals are both admirable and achievable.
ReplyDeleteI'm still working on mine, I'll post them on the weekend. :-)
Good Luck! Whew that is a lot - but I know you can do it :o)
ReplyDelete75 books! Have fun :o)
C R, thanks. Yes, I have always failed with resolutions. Let's see how this goes. It's the first year I have set proper goals, and publicly announced them. Looking forward to reading yours.
ReplyDeleteErica, 75 books ...hopefully I will know bit more by end of the year than I do now ;) especially since I plan to read some non-fiction too.
Great post. You have a very comprehensive list, but it isn't necessarily unattainable. The list really shines with your determination, so I have no doubt you'll be able to succeed. Good luck!
